What is an ATS and why does it matter?
An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is software used by 98% of Fortune 500 companies and most recruiters to automatically filter resumes before a human reviews them. If your resume isn't ATS-friendly, it may be rejected regardless of your qualifications. Our scanner checks the exact formatting and keyword patterns that ATS systems look for.
How does the scoring methodology work?
We analyze five dimensions: ATS compatibility (file format, parsing reliability, header structure), keyword match (industry-specific terms and job description alignment), impact language (action verbs, quantified achievements), formatting (margins, font consistency, section order), and section structure (presence and completeness of required sections). Each dimension is weighted based on recruiter survey data.
Is my resume data private and secure?
Yes. Your resume is processed in-memory and never stored on our servers. We don't save, share, or sell any personal data. The analysis happens in real-time and the data is discarded immediately after your score is generated. No account is required.
What resume formats are supported?
We support PDF uploads and plain text paste. PDF is recommended as it preserves your formatting, which is part of the ATS compatibility analysis. We plan to add DOCX support soon.
